Nathalie Elliott

Training

Nathalie completed her Bachelor of Science with Honours at the University of New South Wales. She then completed a Masters of Psychology (Clinical) and a PhD at the same university. Nathalie’s main treatment approaches include Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

Nathalie has published some of her work in an international peer-reviewed journal and presented her PhD research at international conferences. She has also attended national and international preclinical and clinical conferences in order to stay up to date with the latest research.

Clinical Experience

Nathalie has trained in a variety of health settings, including the Anxiety Treatment and Research Unit at Cumberland Hospital and the Peter Beumont Eating Disorder Service at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Nathalie also works at a private psychiatric hospital, where she runs outpatient DBT groups.

Nathalie is passionate about using research to inform her clinical practice, and uses a warm and empathic manner to deliver various therapeutic interventions. Nathalie believes in empowering clients to change and takes a collaborative approach in therapy.  Nathalie has a particular interest in working with anxiety disorders, depression, eating disorders, and difficulties with emotion regulation.
