Ilana Karpin


Ilana completed her undergraduate psychology degree and Masters of Psychology (Clinical) at the University of New South Wales. She has been an endorsed clinical psychologist for over twenty years.

Ilana has completed DBT intensive training with Behavior Tech as well as RO-DBT intensive training with Radically Open net. She participates in ongoing DBT learning, training and peer consultation.

Clinical Experience

Ilana is a clinical psychologist with over twenty years experience working within the Dialectical Behaviour Therapy framework. She has worked with a range of adolescent, adult, AOD, outpatient and inpatient teams to develop DBT within their services.  Ilana currently provides consultation and training for DBT to private, public and NGO services, co-facilitates DBT based skills groups for adults and family members of those with BPD, and provides individual therapy within private practice using DBT and ACT as the primary treatment models.
